Channel list shortcut:
This shortcut key shows the
Channel List window on a line to join the channel minimized. Cursor and page keys shortcuts:
↑ ↓ It helps to
browse the command line history buffer for a single-line edit box.
Ctrl+ ↑ ↓ This key is used to
browse the command line history buffer for a multi-line edit box.
Page Up/Down Helps to
browse the scroll back buffer of a window a page at a time.
Ctrl+ Page Up/Down Use this key to
browse the scroll back buffer of a window a line at a time.
Ctrl+ Home Helps to
(in an edit box, when editing text) Move the cursor in the text to the edit box’s start.
Ctrl+ End This key is used to
(in an edit box, when editing text) Move the cursor in the text to the end of the edit box.
Ctrl+ Home It will
(in an edit box, when there is no text) Move the scroll back buffer of a window to the top.
Ctrl+ End When there is no text, help to
(in an edit box) Move the scroll back buffer of a window to the bottom. Edit box shortcuts:
Alt+ Enter It is used for
the multi-line edit box this moves the cursor to the next line allowing you to enter several lines.
Ctrl+ Enter Use this key if you want to
send information beginning with the / command prefix, and you want it to be sent as normal text instead of interpreted as a command, hold down the Ctrl key when you press enter.
Ctrl+ B Helps to
bold the text.
Ctrl+ I This key is used to
Italic the text.
Ctrl+ U It is used to
underline the text.
Ctrl+ R Helps to
reverse the text.
Ctrl+ K Use this key to

Shift+ Tab Helps to
switch between the edit box and the nickname Listbox in a channel window. Help Shortcuts:
F1 It is used to
show context-sensitive help.
Shift+ F1 Use this key to
display the keyword search dialog for the help file. Search shortcuts:
Ctrl+ F This key will use
in status/channel/query/etc. windows, open a text search dialog.
Ctrl+ L It is used to
scroll back text in a window to the Line Marker. Switch bar shortcuts:
show/hide all buttons associated with the status window. New windows will always have their buttons displayed even if the hide option is on. You can use Alt + F1 to show/hide buttons.
It is used to
close the window associated with the switch bar button.
Use this key to
minimize the window associated with the switch bar button. Tab key shortcuts:
Tab It is used
when the edit box is empty, to insert “/msg nickname” into the edit box, where the nickname is the last person that sent you a message.
Ctrl+ D Helps to
remove a nickname from the Tab key nickname list. Text marking/copy shortcuts:
It is used to (while copying)
Copy text with control codes.
Helps to (while copying)
Copy text with line breaks as it appears in a window.
This key will (while clicking the Connect toolbar button)
Use the next server in the list.
It is used to (while clicking the Connect toolbar button)
Connect to the current server using the same port instead of a randomly selected port. Tree bar shortcut:
Ctrl+ T Helps to
toggle focus between the Tree bar and the currently active window. Window shortcuts:
Alt+ 1– 9 It is used to
display the Nth window listed in your Window menu.
Alt+ 0 Helps to (in mIRC desktop window)
jump to the main mIRC window.
Alt+ Q Use this key to
show or hide the second edit box in a channel window.
Alt+ X It is used to
toggle the maximized state of the active window.
Alt+ Z Helps to
close the active window, if enabled in the Keys dialog.
This key will (click minimize)
minimizes mIRC and asks you for a Lock password.
Ctrl+ N It is used to
cycle through channel windows.
Ctrl+ Q Use this key to
cycle through query windows.
Ctrl+ Tab Helps to
cycle through all windows, as set in the Keys dialog.
Esc Use this key to
quickly minimizes the active window. It must be turned on in the Other dialog.
It is used to (click minimize)
Minimizes mIRC in a way opposite to that selected in the Tray dialog.
This key can
roll/unroll a window by holding the shift key and clicking your right mouse button on the window title bar.
